Membership:
Seats- The committee will consist of a maximum of 15 members with a requirement to have an odd number for voting purposes if that maximum is not reached. Any resident who is registered to vote may serve on the committee. The board will also hold a seat for (1) member of the Select Board. For the purposes of “technical support”, the committee may employ the use of a facilitator, consultant or an ex-officio office holder to support the development of policies that meet the mission.
Recruitment- Any registered Glover voter may contact the chair to join the committee. When needed, committee members may contact those residents who might be able to support its mission. When an individual either requests to serve or is asked to, the individual will be invited to observe a meeting and, following the meeting, will discuss with the board chair their continued interest and decision to serve.
