This web space is the home of the Glover Equity Group, a committee established to advise the town on how to promote Equity as well as to organize events and projects that make our community more welcoming. To get started on this work, we have begun with welcome baskets and welcome signs. These symbolic steps are a declaration of our intentions to make our community inclusive, equitable, just, and home to diverse people.
The Glover Equity Committee’s mission is to support and promote the development of policies, recommendations and public awareness to the Glover Select Board that assertively condemns racism and welcomes all persons, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, citizenship, sex, gender identity or expression, age, or disability. We strive for everyone to feel safe and accepted in our community. As a town, we formally condemn discrimination in all of its forms, commit to a fair and equal treatment of everyone in our community, and will work to ensure all of our actions, policies, and operating procedures reflect this commitment. The Town of Glover has and will continue to be a place where individuals can live freely and express their opinions.
